despite him being a tottscrote through and through, it's a shame all said and done. he was a superb player and a pretty decent coach.

Agree he was a talented player. Adjusted his game as he got older. Could still boss a game as sweeper Player/Manager for Swindon. Hope he's gonna be OK.

Yeah, it would be childish to deny he was a classy player. Him and Brooking and Keegan in the same England side. Those were the days.
I'd happily see him fall on hi sarse regularly, but would never wish heavy shit like this on him.
I hope he quickly pulls through, but knowing our luck, he'll die Wednesday morning and tottenham will play out of their skins as a tribute.

One of the most naturally gifted players this country has ever produced and he was getting it right when he was England manager. Let himself down by taking to much notice of Mrs mad (eileen) and was very naieve when airing some if his personal thoughts. Wish him a quick recovery.
